Achille Perilli was born on January 28, 1927, in Rome. Already as a young painter, Perilli was a pioneer of abstract painting in Italy. He helped composed the Forma 1 Manifesto in 1947, designed to restore form to its primacy in art. Perilli's paintings display cubist images which prove to be ambiguous and labrynithine. Achille Perilli, who lives now in Italy, has remained true to his development of geometric irrationality.
