Biography
The Irish writer Jonathan Swift was born in Dublin on 29 November, 1667. Swift spent his early childhood years with a nanny in England. In 1682 he attended Dublin University, receiving his B.A. in 1686. Swift moved to Kilrott as a prebendary in 1694. During this time Swift completed his works "A Tale of Tub" and "The Battle of the Books". He met Esther Johnson, the non-marital daughter of Sir Temples. In 1710 he's engaged in politics for some time writing critical political satires. In 1726 he published his masterpiece "The travels into several remote nations of the world by Lemuel Gulliver", better known as "Gulliver's Travels". At the end of the 1730s he's state of health deteriorated. In 1733 he created the work "Human Ordur" under the pseudonym Dr. Shit. Swift died in Dublin on 19 October, 1745.
