Junge Wilde
Die Neuen Wilden (Jungen Wilden, according to the "Fauves"= wilds) were created at the end of the 70s and the beginning of the 80s as an artistic countermovement to the art genre Minimal Art and Conceptual Art which were established long ago. The artists of this genre opposed a deeply subjective attitude and a radical utilization of painting instruments towards an objective attitude. Works of the "Neuen Wilden" were charecterized with concreteness and aggressive colorness. Rainer Fetting, Helmut Middendorf, Salomé, Jörg Immendorf and A.R. Penck are important representatives of this genre.
