Paul Eliasberg
Biography
Paul Eliasberg was born on April 17, 1907, in Munich. In 1924, he began studying art in Berlin. He moved to Paris two year years later, where he completed his studies in 1928 at the Ranson Academy as a student of Bissière. In 1947, Eliasberg became a French citizen. He dedicated his delicate engravings mainly to landscape and architectural themes. He taught at the Städel school in Frankfurt from 1966 until 1970. Eliasberg died on January 10, 1982, in Hamburg.
