Nice series with genre depictions. The elaborately made, lively drawings in colours show simple men and women engaging in pastime activities such as dancing and drinking, making music, playing cards and dice, among them a lute player, a bagpiper and a painter. Details, such as ragged clothing, fat bellies, spilled beer, burst steins and the hangover the next morning are not omitted, thus portraying the lifes of the common Swiss in a humoristic, however, not in a romanticizing manner.
Nice series of 12 loose sheets with genre depictions on elaborately made, lively drawings in colours. The plates humoristically depict common Swiss people engaging in pastime activities.
