Signature scratched on the rear. Height: 70.5 cm (27.7 in).
According to Werner Filmer’s publication, Marg Moll recreated the motif from memory after the end of World War II, probably in 1949, because the first version of “Krugträgerin” (The Pitcher Carrier) from 1928 was destroyed in the war. [AR].

• The first version of “Krugträgerin” (Pitcher Carrier) was created during Marg Moll’s time in Paris, when she was in close contact with Lipchitz, Zadkine, Léger, and Brâncusi.
• The repetition of the motif after the end of World War II testifies to the fact that the sculpture was of paramount importance to the artist.
• The only known early bronze copy of “ Krugträgerin” from 1928 is housed in the Georg Kolbe Museum in Berlin.
