The depicted person is Hanns-Conon von der Gabelentz, a lifelong friend of Conrad Felixmuller and one of the most important collectors of his art. After 1945, the year the painting was made, Hanns Conon von der Gabelentz was head of the art library of the Lindenau-Museum in Altenbourg. [DB].
