PROVENANCE: Private collection Germany.

Aurélie Nemours, who initially was a student of Andre Lhote and then of Ferdinand Leger, chose a strictly constructivist mode of operation. With great consequence she reduces her wart to horizontal and vertical lines, rectangles, squares and right angles. Works kept in a strict black and white are particularly characteristic. A year before her death she was honored with a retrospective at the Centre Pompidou. Other works are in possession of:
##Louisiana Museum, Humlebaek.
##Museum für Konkrete Kunst, Ingolstadt.
##Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
