Mavignier's works are characterized by two elements: the strict geometry contrasts with the explosion of the color. The artist operates with glowing color contrasts and mixtures, as an expression of his South American descent, increasing their presence through the relief structure of the color cones that are subject to continual changing caused by different light reflections and shadows. On the other hand, Mavignier controls this vivacity and illuminating force through a precise, mathematical order that leaves nothing to chance in his works. The characteristic fascination of this piece is equally based on this contrast.
