Paul Jenkins is one the most renowned representatives of Abstract Expressionism in the United States. He has pursued his oeuvre over decades with tremendous consistency. Unlike it is the case with contemporaries like Rothko and Noland, Jenkins leaves his colors a great deal of freedom to unfold their physical characteristics, letting them flow and blend. This sheet also gains appeal from the independence of its colors.
