Lower center signed and verso with the (truncated) artist label, there signed, dated and inscribed with the title "Trenker Buch: Titelb[ild]". 18.1 x 13.8 cm (7.1 x 5.4 in) , almost the full sheet.
Model for the cover of Trenker's book "Heimat aus Gottes Hand", released in 1951/52. The work shows a house at the foot of the Langkofel in the Dolomites near Luis Trenker' birthplace.

Walde's landscapes are characterized by a slightly elevated foreground, a slightly recessed mid part and the towering mountains in background."
