Relief . Metal with gold foil.
With the name in lower right, as well as with a barely legible embossing "Blanchet Fondeur" and the number "HC/2". Artist proof aside from the edition. 65 x 81 x 4 cm (25.5 x 31.8 x 1.5 in).
The oil painting "Composition" (1968, 89 x 116 cm) , cf. S. Poliakoff, ex. cat., Munich 2007, cat. no. 91, illu. on p. 181, presumably served as model for this composition.
This is one of Poliakoff's very rare sculptural works. It is the first time that an object like this is offered on the international auction market.
With a photo expertise from Alexis Poliakoff, Archives Serge Poliakoff, Paris, dated October 1st 2008.

Private collection Southern Germany (acquired from aforementioned).
