Relief . Aluminum cast.
Von Maur P 6a. One of 7 copies cast as of 1963. 66.5 x 27.8 x 3.2 cm (26.1 x 10.9 x 1.2 in).
Cast by art foundry Noack, Berlin in 1959 and as of 1963 after the plaster model from 1919. In total ten copies plus two "hors commerce" were made.

PROVENANCE: Mc. Crory Corporation, New York (verso with collection label).
The Riklis Collection of Mc. Crory Corporation; present to Museum of Modern Art, New York.
Museum of Modern Art, sold in favor of the acquisition fund.

Kugel der Gelenke an Ellbogen, Knie, Achsel,Knöchel
Kugel des Kopfes, der Augen
Dreieck der Nase
Die Linine die Herz und Hirn verbindet
Die Linine, die das Gesicht mit dem Gesehenen verbindet,
Das Ornament, das sich zwischen Körper und Außenwelt bildet, sein Verhältnis zu ihr versinnbildlicht"
