Conzelmann writes about the nudes in red chalks from these days: "The finest drawings from these period, that indeed occupy a unique position in modern German art, unfortunately, they are scattered to the four winds and barely traceable". (Conzelmann, Otto: Otto Dix, Handzeichnungen, Hanover 1968, p. 44)
This work presumably shows the dancer Tamara Danischewski, portrayed in oil with a flower in her hand in 1933. [CE].
