• As of 2002 Jörg Immendorff made sculptures of apes performing certain activities, thus referencing the importance of the ape in art history
• In this group "Malerstamm" the apes are nemd after famous artists
• Our work "Hans" honors the German actor and singer Hans Albers, whom Immendorff had also honored with a monument in Düsseldorf in 1988 .
