• One of Hofer's famous Ticino landscapes that he created in the vicinity of his house on Lake Lugano as of the 1920s.
• Rare, dreamy, nocturnal scenery, in which the white of the Ticino house shines in moonlight.
• The Ticino pictures, which Hofer called "Summer Pictures" are kept in strong colors and express his quest for calm and harmony.
• Further landscapes from this period can be found at, among others, the Museum Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf, the Sprengel Museum in Hanover, the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Rome, the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart and the Kunstmuseum Winterthur.
• Rare nocturnal scene in a particularly powerful color palette
