Gmelin 717. Signed in lower left. Verso with numbered and typographically inscribed labels, as well as numbered and inscribed by hand. 13.5 x 18.5 cm (5.3 x 7.2 in).

• A lively, spirited landscape in which Wilhelm Busch's artistic personality and brushwork are recognizable.
• Fascinating painterly examination of the paintings by Dutch Old Masters, which Busch was enthusiastic about.
• The landscapes, largely withheld from the public by Busch, are at the Neue Pinakothek and the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus, Munich, and the Albertimun - Galerie Neue Meister, Dresden
