• Characteristic, delicate watercolor with particularly filigree motifs of encrypted characters and letters so typical of Bissier.
• Significant testimony to his creative urge: One of the last works by the artist, who died in June 1965.
• A year earlier, Bissier was represented at the documenta III in Kassel.
• Great international recognition: in 1963 the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston honored him with a comprehensive retrospective, which was also shown in Chicago, Detroit, New York (State) and Los Angeles.
• In the year of its creation, the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh showed a grand retrospective
