• One of the artist's first self-made woodcuts.
• Unusually irregular printing block.
• Inspired by Edvard Munch's technique of keeping the fillets in the white parts.
• Schmidt-Rottluff conceived the motif for a postcard to Rosa Schapire, today at the Kunsthalle Mannheim.
