Albers dedicated this publication to his students: "This book is my thanks to my students". Original edition of this lavishly made and thoroughly edited study book, another edition was released ten years later by the Josef Keller-Verlag, Starnberg. - Spine slightly discolored. - "In this monumental book .. he summarizes his color theory, which has a focus on the psychological aspects of colors. Among others, he explains the Bezold effect, knowledge thereof as well as its artistic application where helpful in the creation of his Homage-to-the-Square paintings." (Saur)
