ISTC verzeichnet weltweit nur 11 Exemplare, davon 3 in Deutschland. Schöner rubrizierter Scholiendruck mit eingemalten Initialen in Rot und Blau.

EINBAND: Holzdeckelband der Zeit mit blindgeprägtem Schweinsleder-Rücken. Folio (31,5 : 21,5 cm).- KOLLATION: 127 (st. 133) Bll.- ZUSTAND: Ohne die Blätter a1-5 und r6. - Bindung beschädigt, tls. fingerfl. und wasserrandig, wenige Bll. mit kl. Randläsuren (letzte 8 Bll. stärker und angeschmutzt), letztes Bl. mit etw. Textverlust, mit zahlr. Marginalien von zeitgenössicher Hd. Fehlt jeweils die äußere Längshälfte des Deckels, ob. Kap. mit gr. Fehlstelle.

Scarce early Terenz edition, no copy in the last 50 years on the auction market. Contemp. woodboards with blindtooled pigskin spine. - Lacking the leaves a1-5 and r6. Binding shaken, partly finger- and waterstained, few leaves with small marginal defects (last 8 leaves stronger and stained), last leaf with loss of text in the upper quarter, with numerous marginalia by old hand. Lacking the outer half of both boards, top of spine with defective spot. - Bound before third edition of Horace. - Partly stained, at the end waterstained, partly with small marginal defects, few marginalia and colored woodcut initial by later hand, 2 sheets and 1 leaf (with marginal defects and longer tear) detached.
