"I made drawings and paintings of the dunes, the sea, the wave lines, the crests, the spray, the fishermen steming against the elements, trudging along the beach, mending their nets and their woman and girls bathing, the barges pulled ashore, their steep masts, the clouds and the storm. My art and the work as a fisherman's hand and the joy that comes with both are inseparable."
