Signed and dated lower left. 43 : 31,5 cm (16,9 : 12,4 in). Since Augustin Thierriat taught the painting class for flower still lifes at the École des Beaux Arts in Lyon. Together with Antoine Berjon and Simon Saint-Jean he belonged to the main representatives of this school. Our work is one of his typical still lifes, which captivates the viwer with its bright colours and the precise reproduction of nature. [ME]

In good condition. With traces of rubbing along the edges due to the framing. With negligible scratches mainly on the lower margin, partly with tiny colour chippings and barely noticeable retouchings.
