Jentsch IV und 55-63. - Nice series of prints for Meid's cycle of illustrations for Shakespeare's Othello, each in strong impressions. - 1 of 125 copies. - All sheets signed, seven sheets once more signed in the plate, two of which dated. Size of image ca. 18-27,7 : 16,4-25,2 cm. - Size of sheets varies between 23-31,9 : 28-47 cm (differing fropm the indications in Jentsch, who calls for a size of 33 : 40 cm). Plates 55-60 on laid paper by "JGL" with crowned watermark, the other 3 on laid paper by van Gelder. - 1 plate slightly sunned, 1 plate with 2 small foxmarks in the white margin. All in all fine copy of one of the early series of prints by Meid.
