Phillips/Le Gear 545. - Comprehensive and complete atlas, this copy unbound and in trimmed broadsheets. With numerous regional maps of Ewurope and Gemany as well as with special maps of areas affected by the War of the Spanish Succession (1701-14). - Comprises: World (3), America and Europe with 56 regional maps, mostly fo the Netherlands, Italy, France, Mediterranean Sea (complete map, sea battle, Gibraltar, Corsica et al) and Germany (with 37 partial maps), as well as Hungary, Poland, Baltic provinces, Scandinavia; also with a map of Russia that is not indicated in the plate register. - Slightly stained in places, some maps cropped to the platemark in left margin, engr. title and 3 maps with small marginal tears, the last 10 maps with slight water marks, the last two maps (Hungary and Russia) with a longer restored tear affecting the image. All in all fine copy.
Complete copy of the pocket atlas with many maps focussing on the war of succession in Spain 1701-14. Engr. title, 99 (2 folding, 80 col. in outline) engr. plates and 3 (2 folding) engr. tables. Unbound copy in loose sheets in oblong-4to. - Partly slightly stained, few maps trimmed to platemark in left margin, 3 maps with small marginal tear, about ten of the last maps with slight waterstaining, the two last maps showing Hungary and Russia with longer, carefully restored tears. Overall nice copy.
