Essay
Usually lavishly produced and results of a thorough planning, the works by Michael Sailstorfer put common things into intriguingly new relations. Owing to the astonishing presentation on an upturned rope, the knot offered becomes surprisingly meaningful. This way the artist clearly extends the definition of the sculpture: By integrating light, motion, odors and sounds Michael Sailstorfer creates total works of art.
