Ca. 310 x 435 cm (122 x 171,2 in).
Bordered scene in red canopy. The central motif is a wanderer with cane and bag who is welcome by a rich man. (Motif of prodigal son). Below the scene a dog with collar inscribed "DGA". With four soldiers in front of a group of trees in right of the scene.
According to the collector Harry Beyer, this theater curtain is from the possession of prince Kropotkin, whose son was a close friend of Mr Beyer (cf.: Harry Beyer, Erlebnisse eines Kunsthändlers. Ein Zeitgemälde, Konstanz am Bodensee 2009, pp. 119f.).
