In 1983 Christo and Jean Claude wrapped the coastal lines of eleven small islands in the Biscayne Bay south-east of Florida with pink sheets of polypropylene. In context of the ephemeral art project a total of 603,870 square meters of water surface were covered: Art and landscape form a unique synthesis that offers the observer ever new sensations of surreal beauty in the course of the day's changing lighting conditions. This collage was made as draft for this famous project and shows the artistic vision of the color-outlined islands in sunset light
