The works by Heinz Mack are taken out of their sole sculptural context through the integration of light and achieve an independent level. It is no longer the materiality of forms that makes for the overall impression, it is the light that delivers the message. This work once more shows how much Heinz Mack was occupied with the influence of light, three-dimensionality and resulting optical phenomena. The play of the aluminum grid's filigree net structure in front of a shimmering background evokes remarkable impressions that vary depending on the observer's perspective. This way the artwork is liberated from its static materiality and brought to life.
