Bernar Venet is mostly known for his steel sculptures. The 20 meter tall sculpture "Arc de 124,5°" in Berlin was a gift from the French state in 1987. Based on a strictly geometric line, he loosens the firm structure up and creates motion on both in- and outside. The swift drawing is a variation of the motif of such a sculpture.
