The occupation with the nature and the aesthetics of light are at the core of Adolf Luther‘s work. With his impressive glass-, mirror- and lens objects Luther detached himself from any kind of representation and makes light the sole protagonist of his works. This concave mirror object is a classic Luther light object. The semitransparent mirror surfaces produce immaterial light phenomena on the large mirror in the back. Owed to the usage of strictly serial forms in combination with plain materials, Luther creates a playful artwork of great elegance and airiness, which releases the recipient from space and time, taking him into the world of his light images.
