Arnoldus Montanus

"This German translation is much scarer than the Dutch original" (Sabin).

"This is a classic book on America, and is much sought after by collectors of Americana as it contains one of the first views of New York. It is sought after no less eagerly by collectors of Braziliana, being a classic work of the Dutch period" (Borba de M.). "Sought chiefly for its plates, especially for the engraved view of New Amsterdam which is, without any doubt, the handsomest view of Dutch New York" (Sabin). "For beauty and wealth of copperplates comparable only to de Bry" (Howes).
Die Karten zeigen Amerika, Peru, Chile, Mexiko, Venezuela, Brasilien, Feuerland u. a.
