Acrylic on canvas.
Barely legibly signed in center at bottom. Twice signed on verso of the canvas (of which once in printed letters) and dated 1953_89", titled "3710" and inscribed with the dimensions. Executed in 1989. 75.2 x 60.5 cm (29.6 x 23.8 in).
- Particularly fine example of Vasarely's inimitable handling of geometry and symmetry.
- In 2019 Vasarely is honored in two retrospective exhbitions - one at the Städel Museum in Frankfurt am Main and one at Centre Pompidou in Paris
Accompanied by a photo expertise from Pierre Vasarely, president of the Fondation Vasarely, universal legatee and owner of Victor Vasarely's moral rights, from January 30, 2016. The work will be included into the forthcoming catalog raisonné of paintings by the artist compiled by the Fondation Vasarely, Aix-en-Provence.
