• Within his painterly and sculptural oeuvre, Bernard Schultze understands his lyrical and fantastic color proliferations as an artistic creature that he names "Migofs".
• His conception of abstraction leads to a highly associative spatiality with an astonishing depth effect.
• Bernard Schultze is considered one of the protagonists of gestural-abstract painting in Europe, as well as a major driving force behind the German tachist Informel.
- The artist takes part in the Documenta in Kassel three times (1959, 1964, 1977)
