Soika 1953/2. Bottom center monogrammed (in ligature) and dated. Verso signed (in ligature), dated and titled as well as with a label inscribed with the artist's name, date, title and the inscription "Berlin-Charlottenburg / Hochschule f. bild. Künste / Hardenbergstr.". 70 x 84 cm (27.5 x 33 in).

• The sea and maritime subjects are inseparably connected with Pechstein's oeuvre and characterize his entire expressionistic creation.
