• The watercolor served Ring as preliminary study for the lost oil painting "Groteske Familie" from 1926.
• Between 1916 and 1929 Thomas Ring was represented at Herwarth Walden gallery "Der Sturm".
• The gaudy compositions from the 1920s are among the artist's most sought-after works on the international auction market
