With the estate stamp of the Kunstmuseum Basel (Lugt 1570 b) and the registration number: Fs Da/Bk 7 on the reverse. On light smooth board. 49.2 x 34.7 cm (19.3 x 13.6 in), the full sheet.
The woodcut titled "Emporsteigender" (Dube 675), also from 1937, must be seen in direct connection with the drawing, the same applies to the painting "Allegorie" (Gordon 1004) with unknown whereabouts. [EH].
• In this drawing Kirchner uses a motif from a draft for the ballroom of the Museum Folkwang.
• The drawing must be seen in connection with a lost painting.
