Along with extensive ethnographical and natural historical information, it contains sections about fisheries, salt extraction, mining and trade relations between Russia and China. "The history of the author's journeys in Russia, with appendices describing the natural history of the region, mostly concerning botany" (Zimmer). - Wrappers partly somewhat chipped; Vol. I-II complete, 6 plates missing in vol. III. Altogether a good, clean, and untrimmed copy.
