Monod 9760. - Rauch 196. - Artist and the book 260. - Strachan p. 341. - 1 of 130 (complete print run 150) numb. copies, imprint signed by the artist and publisher. - "The name of the late Germaine Richier, even more than that of Ubac, is associated primarily with sculpture. Her mixed etchings for the poem Contre Terre by René de Solier (1958) are informed by an identifiable and very individual sculptor's idiom and already figurative than her twenty-four aquatints for Une Saison en Enfer (1951). They are strangely haunting, wether almost wholly etched line or, like the example shown, mostly total aquatint with occasional accents of line" (Strachan p. 177). - Hallf vellum cover slightly stained, slipcase damaged.
