Voit, Bohemica 199. - First edition. - Rare work on oceanography. - With the map of the world Mappa Hydrographica in 2 hemispheres, into which hypothetical, artifical underwater ways are drawn in, amongst them a northern Spain connection between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, a connection of the coasts of California (here shown as an island), a waterway through Middle America, a connection between the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean across central Africa, and others. The smaller map shows a subterranean system of canals, located in Bohemia, connecting the Baltic and the Adriatic Sea, the copper plate shows various whirlwinds. - Somewhat browned, the second half somewhat foxed, front inner joints somewhat shaken. Binding slightly scraped, spine and cover of front boards partly restored.
