I, 87). - "Alghisi was probably the first to use an indwelling urethral catheter to drain urine away from the wound after lithotomy. First edition of this famous work about lithotomy. Engr. title vignette, 16 folding copperplates and 1 engr. figure. Contemp. vellum. - Here and there slightly foxed and fingerstained. Inner joints slighty loosened. Flying endpaper with autogr. dedication by the author to Abbot Salvino Salvini, consul of the Academy in Firenze. Very clean and wide-margined copy in a contemp. binding.
