Strasbourg, J. Rihel 1569. Contemp. pigskin on 4 bands with rich tooling (heads of humanists) as well as blindtooled centre panels (Justitia and Lucretia). 8 unnumb., 267 numb., 65 unnumb. ll.

VD 16, C 2967. - Index Aurel. 139.264. - Not in Muller, Adams and the BM STC. - Rare and well-preserved Strasbourg edition in a nice contemp. pigskin binding. The large centre panels (8,8 : 4,6 cm) show Lady Justice carrying a sword and scales (front board) as well as Lucretia with dagger (rear board), both within two different Renaissance arches. - Joints with small split, clasps removed.

Scarce edition by Josias Rihel. Not in Adams, BM STC and Muller, Straßbourg. With woodcut device on title. Fine contemp. pigskin with rollstamps (heads of humanists) and large panels (Justitia and Lucretia). - Joint with small tear, thongs removed, else fine and well-preserved copy.
