Appealing work, both in terms of composition as well as coloring, dating from the artist's early period of creation. The work shows that Walter Dexel, presumably also under the influence of his contemporaries, most of all the expressionists, attained a new form of expression by both formal means and an unusual coloring. [DB].

PROVENANCE: From artist's estate.
