Just as the "Badende", also offered in this auction, the work "Stillleben mit Topfpflanze und roter Kerze" is characterized by a swift stroke of the brush and an expressive coloring that shows Expressionism as source of influence. Works by Friedrich G. Einhoff were subject of solo and group shows, among others at the Gelsenkirchen Stadtmuseum (1968) or the Essen Folkwang-Museum (1928). [CB/KP].
