Register. - ZUSTAND: Ohne die Widmung an Georg Friedrich, Herzog von Württemberg. - Gebräunt, erste ca. 20 Bll. mit minim. Brandspuren im Bund, zum Ende im Bund etw. wasserrandig. 1 Ecke leicht bestoßen.

Chabrey, a Swiss physician and botanist, edited and published Bauhin and Cherler's "Historia plantarum universalis", 1650-1651, then re-used the woodcuts to illustrate this his own work. With engr. title-page, woodcut title vignette and woodcut botanical illustrations throughout. new cloth covers with mounted old pigskin. - Lacking 2 leaves dedication to Georg Friedrich, Herzog von Württemberg. Browned, first ca. 20 leaves with small burn marks, at end waterstained in the gutter. 1 corner bumped.(R)
