First edition. A fine and decoratively bound set of Latham's ornithological survey. Describes many new species, many of them from Australia. 10 vols. Complete copy with 8 engr. titles and 142 colored engr. plates. Contemp. marbled half calf with renewed gilt spine in contemp. style. - Partly some foxing and browning, endpapers renewed, corners of binding partly bumped, edges partly rubbed. In general well-preserved copy with wide margins. Provenance: British Museum (old stamp and duplicate stamp on title verso and last leaf).
