Le premier volume des exposicions des epistres et evangilles de tout le quaresme. Paris, Les Angeliers 1542.

Schöner und seltener Druck in französischer Bastarda, illustriert mit zahlreichen Textholzschnitten. Aus der Pariser Offizin von Arnoul und Charles l'Angelier.

EINBAND: Zeitgenössischer Kalblederband mit kleinen goldgeprägten Eckfleurons und Deckelvignette (Rücken erneuert). Folio. 34,5 : 22 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit großer figürlicher Titelholschnitt-Bordüre und zahlreichen Textholzschnitten (1 blattgroß), sämtlich gelb laviert. - KOLLATION: 232 nn. Bll. (d. l. w.). Teils in Gelb rubriziert, Textspiegel durchgeh. regliert. - ZUSTAND: Stellenw. wasserrandig, nur vereinz. etw. fleckig, wenige Bll. mit Randläsur im Fußsteg. Einbd. fleckig und bestoßen, Rücken und Vorsätze erneuert. - PROVENIENZ: Titel mit altem Besitzvermerk des Minoritenklosters in Montmerle. - Exlibris Eckhard Günther, hint. Spiegel mit dessen bibliogr. Vermerken.

Rare and fine print in French bastarda. With large fig. woodcut title-border and numerous woodcuts in text (1 fullpage), all washed with yellow, as well as numerous white-on-black initials. Partly rubricated, text area ruled. Contemp. calf with small gilt corner florets (spine and endpapers renewed). - Partly waterstained, few leaves somewhat stained, few leaves with marginal defect in lower margin. Binding stained and bumped. Provenance: Old ownership inscription of the Franciscan monastery in Montmerle. Ex-libris Eckhard Günther.
