Erste Ausgabe. Behandelt in drei Teilen ebene Figuren, dreidimensionale Körper und den Schattenwurf. Accolti (1579-1642) stand als Architekt und Bibliothekar in Diensten von Kardinal Carlo de Medici. - Enthält den Discorso sul Disegno , der als erste, wenn auch gekürzte, Veröffentlichung von Leonardo da Vincis Traktat über Malerei angesehen wird (vgl. Pedretti, Leonardo da Vinci on Painting. A Lost Book (Libro A), S. 5 und 174).
EINBAND: Zeitgenössischer Pergamentband. 29,5 : 21,5 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit gestochener Titelvignette (Medici-Wappen) und zahlreichen Holzschnitten im Text, davon 5 blattgroß. - KOLLATION: 6 Bll., 152 S., 2 Bll. - ZUSTAND: Etw. gebräunt und tls. schwach wasserrandig, letztes Bl. mit ergänzter Eckläsur.
