"An einem Regentag beginnen die Farben zu leuchten; deswegen ist ein trüber Tag - ein Regentag - für mich der schönste Tag." (F. Hundertwasser, zit. nach Koschatzky, S. 108). Das Wort Regentag findet sich im Leben Hundertwassers immer wieder, so bezeichnet er auch ein 1968 entstandenes Gemälde und sein Schiff, das ihm als Refugium dient. - 1 von 3000 numerierten Exemplaren. Im Innendeckel der dazugehörigen Original-Holzkassette signiert und numeriert. Das Blatt Regen auf Regentag (F 48) signiert und zweifach numeriert "565/3000" und "57/300", ferner mit 2 roten japanischen Inkan-Stempeln im Rand; die übrigen Bll. mit geprägter Signatur und gestempelter Numerierung. Alle in der Form signiert, datiert und teils betitelt sowie bezeichnet und mit den Werknummern versehen. Im Innendeckel unterhalb des Inhaltsverzeichnisses mit farbiger Kreide signiert und numeriert. - Druck der Graphiken in der Dietz Offizin, Lengmoos. - "The terms Regentag and rainy day played a very special part in Hundertwasser's life at this time. 'On a rainy day, colors begin to glow; that's why a cloudy, rainy day is the kind I like best. That's the kind of day when I can work. When it rains, I'm happy. And when it rains, I know my day is beginning'." (Koschatzky S. 108)
EINBAND: Lose Blätter in Orig.-Holz-Kassette mit farbigem Deckelprägedruck sowie geprägtem Inhaltsverzeichnis im Innendeckel. 55 : 72,5 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Folge von 10 Orig.-Farbserigraphien mit Metallprägungen, teils auf unterschiedlichem Papier. - ZUSTAND: Blatt 1 am weißen Unterrand leicht stockfl., Kassettenkanten minim. berieben. Ansonsten insgesamt in guter, farbschöner Erhaltung.

Rare complete set of 10 screenprints in color with metallic foil and embossing on various papers. Loose sheets in orig. wooden portfolio box. Copy no. 565 of 3,000 numb. copies, inside of front board signed and numbered in color chalk; print no. 5 additionally numbered 57/300 and signed "Hundertwasser Regentag", with 2 red inkan stamps in the white margin. - Plate 1 slightly foxed at white lower margin. Wooden box minimally rubbed. Otherwise overall in good condition with beautiful colors.
