Mehrfach in Varianten und abweichender Ausstattung zwischen 1512 und 1524 gedruckt. Vorliegende Ausgabe nicht bei Darlow/Moule und Mortimer.
EINBAND: Halblederband des 17. Jahrhunderts. Folio. 34 : 25 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit Titelholzschnitt (Hieronymus), Holzschnitt-Druckermarke auf dem Titel und 145 Textholzschnitten (1 blattgr. und 2 halbseitig), davon mehrere altkoloriert. - KOLLATION: 14 nn., 298 röm. num., 24 nn. Bll. - ZUSTAND: Vereinz. gering fleckig, zu Beginn im ob. Bundsteg etw. wasserrandig; Titel, Ende der Vorstücke und letzte leere Seite des Haupttexts mit ovalem Bordürenstempel (einer davon mit rasiertem hs. Eintrag). Titel mit alten, teils durchgestrichenen Eintragungen. Einbd. beschabt, Rücken und tls. Kanten restauriert.

Richly ilustrated Latin bible by Sacon and Koberger, one of several variants printed between 1512 and 1522. With title woodcut, woodcut printer's device of Sacon on title and 145 woodcuts in text, few of which colored by contemp. hand. 17th cent. half calf. - Here and there minor browning or foxing, small waterstain in upper gutter at beginning, title and 2 leaves with oval border stamp, one of which inside with erased inscription, title further with crossed out entries. Else inside good copy.
